Hollow Metal Fabricator/Welder

Position Summary:

This position will be responsible to receive, store, transfer, and ship company products and to promote the efficient material handling operations of Johnson Brothers as well as assist the Hollow Door Welder. 

Job Responsibilities:

• Will store and organize all products and materials to be staged in welding areas. Retrieve these products and materials as requested by company personnel. 

• Package and load finished products for shipping by trucks. Both by forklift and manual labor as necessary.

• Maintain neat and safe warehouse areas through regular cleaning.

• Assist in the Shop by order pulling and auditing cycle counts in inventory.

• General Housekeeping in the production area.

• Engage in all other tasks and responsibilities as directed by your supervisor.

• Weld Hollow Metal Door Frames Fabricate doors to specifications.

• Shop maintenance and other duties as assigned 

   

Qualifications, Education and Experience

• Must be able to lift 100 lbs. frequently and up to 50 lbs. regularly.

• Ability to read tape measure.

• Basic math skills:  Addition, subtraction, division, fractions.

• This position requires the ability to use proper MIG welding equipment/techniques and safety procedures.

• Forklift certification/experience a plus.

• Utilize good communication and judgement skills.

• This position requires them to be familiar with Welding techniques and processes.

• Must be able to work well with employees in stressful situations.

• Must possess high school diploma or equivalent.

• This is a drug free work place and subject to pre-employment drug testing.

Works M-F 6 a.m. to 2 p.m.  Might work extended hours
