Boise Service Technician / Warehouse Assistant

Position Summary:

This position is based at our Boise, ID location and is responsible for assisting in servicing windows and door products. Will also assist in deliveries and warehouse operations including receiving, warehousing, and shipping company products. 

Job Responsibilities:

• Will assist in servicing window and door products. Including warranty and repairs.

• Be able to diagnose damaged or malfunctioning parts, replacing damaged or malfunctioning parts related to wood, fiberglass, and vinyl windows and doors. This process includes product knowledge capable of ordering replacement items to complete service necessary.

• Assist the receiving, warehousing, and shipping of products to and from Johnson Brothers as efficiently as possible. 

• Assist in coordinating delivery functions to ensure that costs are minimized including time and equipment use. Also insuring that materials are not damaged during this process. 

• Will need to become certified by Johnson Brothers in forklift operation and manual material handling to unload incoming freight ensuring that all products are in good condition and ready for delivery.

• Assist in freight claims on damaged materials when necessary and see the process from inception through conclusion. 

• Maintain clean and safe warehouse area practices as well as regular cleaning of all areas including equipment. 

• Engage in all other tasks and responsibilities as directed by your supervisor.

Qualifications, Education and Experience

• This position requires a current Idaho Driver‘s License. Out of state deliveries are possible.

• Ability to handle driving a loaded truck and hauling a delivery trailer is required. 

• High School diploma or equivalent. 

• Position requires basic math skill ability with addition, subtraction, division, and fractions as well as the ability to read a tape measure. 

• Must be able to physically lift 100 pounds frequently up to 50 pounds regularly. Knowledge of physically handling building materials is desired. 

• Must be able to work well with customers and employees in stressful situations.
