The Custom Door Shop Craftsman plays an important role in building, assembling, repairing, and finishing high-quality custom wood doors for residential and commercial projects. This hands-on position involves operating woodworking equipment, reading shop drawings and blueprints, installing hardware, and ensuring every door meets Johnson Brothers’ standards for craftsmanship and precision. You’ll work closely with a skilled team while taking pride in producing custom products that are built to last, maintaining an organized workspace, and following safe work practices throughout the shop. The Machine Operator in our Millwork Department supports day-to-day production by helping turn raw lumber into finished products ready for our customers. This role involves setting up and operating milling equipment, assisting with sorting and packaging materials, and keeping work areas organized and running smoothly. You’ll work alongside a team while also taking ownership of your responsibilities, learning to identify and handle different types of lumber, and supporting the overall flow of the shop.
